Volunteer Reward Program

Our management committee is very committed to providing our players with a unique opportunity to develop as an individual, be part of a supportive team environment, learn how to win and lose (not so much we hope) and most importantly learn those valued life skills that come with belonging to a team and well run sporting club. To ensure our players can reach their potential as players and young people, we will need your support.

Our club recognizes that the number and quality of our volunteer workforce directly affects the standard of our programs and services we provide. Each year our club will need around 200 volunteers, to deliver our programs and services. We want to spread that responsibility and ensure when somebody volunteers for us it is a positive, rewarding experience. We are 100% committed to valuing our most valued resource – ‘Our Volunteer Workforce’, because without them the cost of our sport would be prohibitive and the number of people able to participate would be significantly reduced.

So what’s it about?

To ensure our Club is better positioned to offer our players a fantastic service we use an innovative affiliation and volunteer reward program that will increase the number and standard of our volunteers, reduce the pressure on our volunteers and most importantly value their contribution. This is what we do:

Club Affiliation System

  • Will provide members with an opportunity to ‘Reduce the Cost of Fees’
  • Equity Fees: all club fees are user pay, ‘if you don’t use it you don’t pay’
  • Accountable: parents and players will now be able to see where their fee is going

The Volunteer Reward Program will see members contribute financially to recognizing and rewarding our valued volunteers. Simply, if you volunteer you will remove the new volunteer pass and at the same time you can receive even further reductions in your club fee relative to the time committed. For those who don’t want to or cannot volunteer then you can do this guilt free by purchasing the new family volunteer pass. For those members who want to reduce their fees but are not in a recognised volunteer position, we have provided other opportunities for members to reduce your fees: if you volunteer in any of our income streams such as canteen, merchandise, social events or fundraising then you will be offered $10 (capped at the value of the volunteer pass) for every hour of service provided.

Volunteer Applications Timeframes

  • Management Committee Position Application Forms are required fourteen (14) days before the AGM. Members determine these positions at the AGM in accordance with the Constitution.
  • Operational Volunteers are appointed by the Management Committee at the AGM. Operational Volunteer Position Application Forms can be submitted at the AGM, but are preferred (7) days before the AGM.
  • Team/General Volunteers will be opened with season sign-on.

How Fee Reductions will be Applied

Sponsorship Rebate

Once the sponsorship agreement has been finalised and the funds have been deposited in the Club’s account your rebate will be forwarded to your nominated bank account immediately.

Government Grant

Please present your Get Playing Grant voucher to the registrar or a committee member. We will then process a fee reduction against your direct debit plan or refund

Volunteer Rebate

Members who have paid their Full Fees will have their volunteer pass of $100 per family and their position volunteering $ reward forwarded to your nominated account soon after you have officially accepted the volunteer position offered. For all others, their pass and reward will be paid soon after their fees have been paid.

For those volunteers who have taken on the one-off volunteer roles, all that is required from you is that you sign in and out when you have worked. The club will rebate general volunteers twice within the season into the volunteer’s nominated bank account.

General Volunteers

Don’t want to commit to a specific position BUT want to reduce or remove the volunteer pass:

Then you may consider being a General Volunteer such as helper in the canteen at club events and on game days. All you need to do is choose how much time you have to give and when and we will be reward you with a 10.00 credit for every hour provided to a maximum of $100 per family registration.
