Samford Rangers FC received a $1,905 boost after successfully securing community grant funding from Moreton Bay Regional Council.
The $1,905 contribution from Moreton Bay Regional Council will be used to purchase office and printing equipment for Committee use.
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland said a number of local organisations had been successful in the latest round of community grants funding.
“Council’s community grants support local community, youth, senior citizen, sporting and cultural events and activities,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“Funding is available for initiatives that respond to community issues, enhance wellbeing and safety and encourage participation and partnerships.
“They’re a great way for council to support the community organisations, activities, events and initiatives that matter to our residents.”
Rachel Spencer (Secretary) thanked Moreton Bay Regional Council for their support.
“The much-needed computer and printing equipment will ensure we have updated office facilities, to allow the Committee to complete administration work on site and provide better service and outcomes for the membership.”
Mayor Sutherland said local groups should be commended for their outstanding work in the community.
“I would like to thank each group for taking the time to make a funding application to the Moreton Bay Regional Council community grants program,” the Mayor said.
