Player Registration

We welcome all our returning and new players to Samford Rangers FC for the new 2021 season. Samford Rangers FC caters for a broad spectrum of players:

Miniroos Kick Off: 3 to 5-year-olds

Miniroos: Under 6 to 11

Juniors: Under 12 to 16

Seniors: Under 18, Under 20, City Leagues

FQPL2: Senior and U23 (by invitation only)

Masters: Over 35 Men, Over 45 Men, Over 30 Women

 

Registration is a 2-step process for all players except Miniroos Kick Off. Only when both steps have been completed, and payment has been made in full or a payment plan has been approved, will a player be eligible to play for Samford Rangers FC.

To register with Samford Rangers FC for the season, all players will need to follow the following process:

Step 1 – Register and Pay Online via the Samford Rangers Majestri System

Members from last season can use the link in the email we sent you to sign on. Otherwise, click the link below.

Registration is open from 3rd January

Tips:

  • Payments can be made during registration or later by BPAY or EFT or cash or EFTPOS at the club on sign on day.
  • If you want to set up a direct debit payment plan, 40% must be paid up front with the balance paid off in regular instalments by May 31.
  • If you would like club email to go to other email addresses than the primary contact, e.g. the second parent, add them to the Communication Options

Step 2 – Register with Football Australia via the PlayFootball Web Site

All players (returning and new) need to register via the online “Play Football” registration website. Registration will be open from 3rd JANUARY.

NOTE: You can now do family registrations on via the PlayFootball Site

  • To access the website please visit click on the link below and then follow the instructions.
    (For support using the website, please contact (02) 8880 7983 or on the web site PlayFootball Support)
  • On the Contact Details page, please add or update relevant details as required. It has been mandated by Football Brisbane that all players from U12 onwards must upload a photo.
  • Make sure you select “Samford Sporting Association” on the registration page, then select the relevant package (eg: ‘Miniroos Club Football’).

Note:

Miniroos Kick-Off and Masters players do not need to register with PlayFootball

Masters players will need to register with SportsTG but registrations are not open there yet.

Step 3 – Come to the club on Sign-On Day, Sunday 7th Feb 9-11am, if you need to

  • Any new players under 18 need to bring their birth certificate (or other acceptable document - see below) down to the club on Sign-On Day. Alternatively you can take a scan or photo of the birth certificate and email it to our Club Administrator at clubadmin@samfordrangers,org,au
  • If you did not pay your registration online, you can pay for your registration by EFTPOS or cash on sign-on day
  • If you have any questions or don’t have access to the online sign-on
  • If you need to buy some shorts, socks, shin pads, etc. from the sports store and didn’t order them online. The club shop will also be open at regular times throughout the season.

You must have paid or have an approved payment plan in place to be fully registered and eligible to pay with Samford Rangers FC.

New Players’ Requirement

All new players under the age of 18 must bring along proof of identity and age which includes one of the following – Birth Certificate, Extract of Birth, Passport, or Certificate of Australian Citizenship.

Request to Play with a Friend or Team

We understand that there are situations where players would like to be assigned to the same team as one or more of their friends.

A formal request can be submitted to the Club. Please email our Director of Football (doc@samfordrangers.org.au) for your child to play with one or more of his/her friends. This opportunity is limited to players up to and including the Under 9 age group, as children older than this participate in the grading process to determine team allocation.

Wherever possible, players who played at the Club last season are automatically allocated to that same team for the new season. If you have strong views for your child not to play in the same team as last year, please email our Director of Football to request an assignment to another team if at all possible. Please note that due to team size restrictions and other logistical factors, it may not be possible to satisfy all requests (refer: SSF Team Equality Policy).
