Our Sign-On period is over, however it is not too late to play in season 2010 as we still have openings in some age groups. Please contact either Mark Halle (3 - 10 year olds) or Will Allan (11 year-olds and older) to check for vacancies in our teams.
You can Sign-On Online or with our registrar, Stephanie Boss (3289-3438 or registrar@samfordfootball.org.au).
The fees for 2010 to cover Club Membership and Player Registration are as follows:
In addition, a new Volunteer Levy of $50 per family will also apply this year and will be refunded once a minimum of 5 hours service is volunteered to the Club during the season (e.g. coach, manager, committee member, serving in the canteen, mowing/line marking of the fields, sign-on duties, fundraising, etc.).
All of the above fees are inclusive of GST, a Training Shirt and a Team Trophy for each player. Payment is due at sign-on and preferred payment is via EFTPOS (Direct Debit, Visa or MasterCard), however we will also accept cash or cheque payments. All cheques to be made payable to “Samford Sporting Association”.
It is the norm at most other clubs to charge an addition weekly fee of $5 to $7 per player throughout the season. This can add over $100 per player to the cost of membership. At Samford we do not charge a weekly club fee i.e. no further Registration or Club Membership Fees are payable throughout the year.
Referee fees (approx. $2 - $3 per game) are payable directly to the referees for all Competitive (under 11 and older but not including Over 35's) teams and you can optionally purchase team photos at the end of the season for approx. $12.

All Registration Fees are due at Sign-On. The Club has a policy of “no pay – no play” in fairness to the overwhelming majority who pay on time. Please note that a player's Registration papers will not be forwarded to Football Brisbane until his/her fees are fully paid (meaning the player cannot legally participate in any fixtures).
Should it prove difficult for a player or parent/guardian to pay the total fee amount at sign-on time then please speak to the registrar at that time for possible alternative payment arrangements.
All new players under the age of 18 must bring along proof of identity and age which includes one of the following - Birth Certificate, Extract of Birth, Passport, or Certificate of Australian Citizenship.
A Player Registration Form will need to be completed for each player in the family at the club (unfortunately these forms cannot be downloaded). The Over 35's Men have a separate registration form from the rest of the players in the club.
A parent/guardian is required to sign all of the forms. Players under the age of 18 are not required to sign any paperwork
We understand that there are situations where players would like to be assigned to the same team as one or more of their friends.

A formal request can be submitted to the Club (please email Mark Halle) for your child to play with one or more of his/her friends. This opportunity is limited to players up to and including the Under 10 age group as children older than this participate in the grading process to determine team allocation.
Wherever possible, players who played at the Club last season are automatically allocated to that same team for the new season. If you have strong views for your child not to play in the same team as last year, please email Mark to request an assignment to another team if at all possible. Please note that due to team size restrictions and other logistical factors, it may not be possible to satisfy all requests (refer: SSG Team Equality Policy).
Our Sports Shop will be open during the Sign-On sessions for the purchase of player equipment. This year we have substantially increased the range of stock available in our Sports Shop so that all equipment purchases can be made at the club.
Essential equipment required by each player will be on sale including shorts, socks, shin pads and boots (jerseys are provided by the Club). The Sports Shop will also have on sale a number of non-essential items such as Club sports bags, Club polo shirts, etc.
Please note that during games players are only allowed to wear shorts and socks supplied by a Football Queensland-endorsed supplier (denoted by the "Q" logo on the item). Such items are not readily available from all sporting retailers but can be purchased from the Club's Sports Shop at close to cost price.
For more information, please contact us.
New players and their families are most welcome to the Club.
Season 2010 is already shaping-up to be an exciting one and we look forward to seeing you down at the Club real soon!
