Sessions for this year's team photographs are as follows:
For teams playing home games on those days it is recommended that your sitting takes place before your game. For those teams that do not have games at home on these days, please ensure you arrive at our home ground in jerseys, training shirts or club polos (all players in the one type please, not a mixture).
The cost is $13 per photo and you will be required to pay your Team Manager on the day of the photo shoot for the number of photos you require.
Team Managers, order envelopes will be placed in team folders for money collection this Sunday - please return them to the photographer on the day of your photo shoot. Please only order copies for those who have paid - don't assume the whole team wants one.
The Samford Community Bank will provide our community with more than just quality banking services from the 150 year-old Bendigo Bank – it will deliver employment opportunities for local people, keep local capital in our community, be a local investment option for shareholders and provide a source of revenue for local clubs like us.

Shares can be purchased in the Samford Community Bank by downloading the Prospectus from here (note that the original closing date of 6 August 2009 has been extended). The Bank commenced business in the first week of August with the Official Opening on Saturday the 8th of August at 11:30am. Any enquiries, please contact Mike Clahsen or Terry Hogan at samford.community.bank@gmail.com.

The next stepping stone from club level to the elite level is to be selected and attend the QAS (Queensland Academy of Sport). During the past couple of seasons, Kenneth Dougall (Samford U8 - U14), Jamal Spelta (Samford U6 - U14), Luca Jannese (Samford U13 - U15) and Alex Nicolaidis (Samford U14) have been deservedly offered places at the QAS and have acquitted themselves very well ever since.
Kenneth has been playing for the QAS in the Queensland State League which is just one level below the A-League while the other boys have been playing regularly for the QAS in the Under 21 competition.
Kenneth recently trialled with the Brisbane Roar Youth Team and secured one of the four spots on offer - congratulations Kenneth!
Next month sees the introduction of a Club Membership Card which has been sponsored by several local businesses.
Just flash your Club Membership Card at the time of purchase at participating local businesses and you can benefit from member-only discounts and special offers. For example, the Samford Typing & Copy Center and 2XU Mobile (compression garments) will offer 10% discounts to club members.
Football Australia will be conducting the Grassroots Certificate Course at our ground on Monday 10 August, 6-9pm. It is designed to give coaches a basic understanding of their role and to provide them with practical ideas for training sessions.
After attending this course coaches will have a basic understanding of:
