Team Announcement Day
Thank-you to all of you who attended yesterday's Team Announcement Day. For those of you who were unable to attend, please contact the relevant person at the foot of this email to find-out which team you are in..jpg)
A special thank-you to our Seniors/Over 35's Vice-President, Graham Lee, who coordinated yesterday's fun day activities. A big thank-you also to the many volunteers who assisted Graham on the day.
Coaches & Managers Meetings
The Coaches and Managers Meeting will be held tomorrow night (Monday the 25th) at 7pm at the Clubhouse for under 9 to 16 teams. As well as being briefed on this season's procedures, you can also pick-up your team kits in readiness for the pre-season friendlies which commence next Sunday (see below).
The Coaches and Managers Meeting for under 6/7/8 teams will be held next Saturday afternoon in conjunction with the Rooball Fun Day.
Rooball (U6/7/8) Fun Day this coming Saturday
This coming Saturday, the 1st of March at 4pm, we will be introducing Under 6/7/8 parents, coaches and players to the new Small Sided Games model that Football Australia has introduced this year. We will also incorporate the Coaches and Managers Meeting for Under 6/7/8 teams during this session.
Training
Training times for all teams are available on our web site (click here). Each team has been allocated a one and a half hour time slot and can start/finish any time within that period.
Please note that due to the inclement weather experienced this summer, the long-awaited renovation to the under 6/7/8 fields has been delayed and is not likely to be completed until the end of April. In the meantime, under 6/7/8 teams will train at the Highvale Cricket Ground (Mt Glorious Rd, Highvale) and under 11+ teams scheduled to train on the under 6/7/8 fields will train on the Main Field.
Pre-Season Friendlies (Under 9-16) commence next Sunday
A series of pre-season games have been scheduled for most junior (under 9+) teams on one or more of Sunday the 2nd, 9th and 16th of March against neighbouring clubs, Pine Hills, The Gap and Mitchelton. Exact game times will be published later this week.
Senior Men/Women Registrations must be finalised by Wednesday
The Senior Men's teams (including under 18 but excluding Over 35's) and Open Women teams commence fixtures next week-end (29 Feb/1 March) and it is important that all players have registered and paid fees in full by this Wednesday to be eligible to play.
