Samford Rangers News
Wet Weather
According to the weather forecast, it looks as though the wet weather could be with us for some time yet. On wet days, the home page of our website will clearly indicate the status of the ground for training, etc.
Whenever there is the threat of inclement weather, we will endeavour to make a decision on the availability of the ground as early as possibly in the day with a final decision to be made by 3:30pm at the latest. For the protection of our playing surfaces, all teams are asked to abide by any cancellations.
Registrations - New and Pending
For those of you who have yet to settle your fees in full, or for those new members who have yet to provide a proof of age, please be aware that your registration forms will not be forwarded to Football Brisbane until your registration is complete which means the player(s) concerned cannot legally participate in any fixtures..jpg)
Cheque payments and/or copies of birth certificates/passports can either be posted to us (see below for address) or left in the letterbox slot located in the front wall of the clubhouse. Alternatively you can make an electronic deposit directly into our bank account (our bank account details available upon request).
For those who couldn't make it to Sign-On Day, we urge you to catch-up with the appropriate club contact ASAP to avoid missing-out as team quotas fill quickly and we must nominate teams very shortly. See below for the appropriate person to contact.
Gradings & Assessments this week and next
Gradings and assessments for all junior players (boys and girls) from under 9 through to under 16 are being held this week and continue through to the end of next week. Click here to find out when your grading/assessment is on.
Team Announcement Day - Sat 23 Feb
Team Announcement Day will be held on Saturday week, the 23rd of February, and is when players will find-out which team they have been allocated to.
It is essential that a parent/guardian attends Team Announcement Day so that they can meet the other parents/guardians from the team; select the team’s Coach, Manager and Match Reporter; and agree on a regular Training Day/Time.
There are two team announcements - under 6-10 at 4pm and under 11-16 at 5:30pm. These will be held in conjunction with a Fun Day including food, drinks, a giant inflatable football field (see picture) and a couple of senior men’s pre-season fixtures.
Senior Women's Training/Sign-On tomorrow night
Training for the senior women’s teams will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm commencing tomorrow, the 13th of February. It is important that all players attend this first training session to register (regardless of the weather conditions) as we must nominate a team the next day with fixtures commencing on the 1st of March. We are also looking for a coach (paid position) for our senior women’s team. Please direct all enquiries to Rob Ferguson on 0418 713 407.
Over 35's Training to re-commence Mon 25 Feb
With Junior Gradings/Assessment taking place during the next two weeks, Over 35's pre-season training will re-commence on Monday week, the 25th of February at 7:30pm.
